Last week the darling of the netroots, Rick Noriega, complained and moaned about Senator Cornyn’s contributions from the financial industry. He even went so far as to ask the Senator to return all the money.
Despite his nobility on the issue —this week Noriega is supposed to appear at an event with Senator’s Schumer and Clinton in South Texas. These lovable leftys are raising money for him. What do we think the chances are that he asks them to return their financial contributions? Slim to none.
Clinton infact has received the most amount of money of any Senator from the financial industry in the past 20 years….over 30 million dollars!
Hypocritical Ricky. It’s contradictions like this why he’s polling in the dumpster and he hasn’t been able to raise any money. Despite the efforts of Capitol Annex and Burnt Orange Report I have confidence that Texas will re-elect John Cornyn.

You all know by now that I am a BIG fan of BIG BAD JOHN CORNYN.
Well, yesterday he relaunched his website and boy does it look better!
The campaign also released two new advertisements.
Here’s one called “Palo Duro Canyon.”
It’s so exciting as a Republican to see us match head to head with the Democrats online. I am glad to be a part of the bloggers for Cornyn and hope any other bloggers from West Texas would consider becoming a part of the Cornyn campaign’s online effort. I can’t wait to see the rest of the ads!

Despite his “border record” and proposed tough stances on illegal immigration Rep. Rick Noriega had this to say about the freeing of wrongfully imprisioned border agents Ramos and Compean——
Oh wait-Noriega had no comment on the matter while Senator Cornyn has personally urged President Bush to take action.
My West Texas has the scoop at:

In West Texas we didn’t feel much of Hurricane Ike but many of our fellow Texans in the Houston area are still without power today.
Despite the damage the storm caused, one of the Houston areas State Representatives decided it was more important to campaign than to help his constituents.
That representative is Rick Noriega who is challenging incumbent Republican John Cornyn for the U.S. Senate.
On the campaign trail Mr.Noriega has often mention his “instrumental role in assisting Houstonians during Hurricane Katrina” but if his role then was anything as it was now, we can surely say that he is exaggerating.
While even Barack Obama got a heart and cancelled his SNL appearance on such late notice, Noriega kept his campaign events as the storm was hitting his home.
Careless.

For the failure of the Federal Government to fix the immigration crisis has lead to Texas taxpayers spending roughly 1 Billion Dollars a year educating illegal immigrants.
First I want to say that I believe it is no these children’s faults that they are illegal and that they should of course be educated. I also understand that someone must pay but I believe it should be the Federal Government who has failed to fix this problem and not the Texas State Government and Texas taxpayers.

In this day and age, why these jokes?
