Hutchison To Serve Out Remainder of Term

It’s (almost) official.  Kay Bailey Hutchison is expected, in her 11 a.m., presser to announce she will serve out the remainder of her congressional term.  The announcement comes days after Hutchison conceded the republican gubernatorial primary to incumbent Governor Rick Perry.

Speculation was circling that Hutchison may relinquish her position early, which will end in 2012.

Is this a good move for us Texans?  Let me know your thoughts!

Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican candidate for Governor, has just released her latest ad “Honest.”

Good ad but it’ll be interesting to see what Governor Perry’s camp has to say.

2010 election season

Until March 2nd, you and the rest of Texas will be hit over the head with campaign messages. I’d rather see Republicans targeting Democrats than Republicans targeting each other, so I’m really looking forward to the general election season.

One great (well, at least entertaining) aspect of this primary season, however, is the drama. This article from DMN highlights what I mean – it labels 2010 the “Year of the Domino” for Texas because of all the effects that will stem from decisions made by Senator Hutchison, Governor Perry, and Texas voters.

Those who are making predictions about March and November should be careful. I don’t think anything’s obvious yet, particularly regarding the gubernatorial race.

Perry Endorses Giuliani?

Today our esteemed Governor Sir Rick Perry endorsed Rudolph Giuliani. Shocker? Shouldn’t be. Gov. Perry will do whatever he needs to to stay close to people with power.
